Hello!

From an early age I have always wanted to travel. I was the child with multiple pen pals across Europe, fascinated by languages. Aged 14 I organised a trip to visit Patou, my French penpal, who had invited me to stay. Following a series of miscommunications I ended up staying with my French teacher’s pen pal who I had never even spoken to! Amazingly, all went well, and I was well and truly bitten by the travel bug. Fast forward a few years to a languages degree via various working holidays abroad, and a year abroad in Austria where I discovered a talent for teaching. After graduating this was the career I chose, starting my first teaching job aged 22… until suddenly here I am at 55 just days from stepping back from education to set out on an adventure. My love of languages remains as strong as ever and I can’t wait to visit some of the amazing places I’ve thought about visiting for such a long time. Bring it on!
